For Part 1 of this story, please refer to my review on All American Gas & Food Mart, because: freaking seriously terrible.So after I left the previous establishment, my car was still on empty. I called my husband, relating the story, and I was so furious I was actually crying. My kids, still in the back, were asking me what was wrong and if I was hurt. I tried to explain to my 5 year old that I was just very, very angry.Pulling up to the nearest pump to the door here, I again asked my kids to stay-put while I quickly dashed inside to pay for gas. I wiped my eyes, but I’m sure my eyes and nose were still red as I reached the counter, put my $10 on the counter, and asked, $10 on the first pump, please?He nodded gently at me, a little curious but not asking what was wrong.I walked out and started pumping my gas. I was still on the phone with my husband who was trying to calm me down a little, worried about me driving safely because I was upset and already half-an-hour behind. I didn’t pay much attention to the pump, figuring it would shut off when it got to $10.When it shut off, it was at $11. I hurriedly grabbed a dollar and ran back inside and tried to put it on the counter.No, he said.It…It went over. I said, I’m sorry I didn’t notice. I only gave you $10. I know for a fact that I only gave him $10.He shook his head and smiled knowingly.You gave me $11.This small kindness absolutely made me feel immediately better. Just a $1. But it meant the world.
