… there. Maybe because it’s location but we only saw one other person the entire time outside of the camp grounds. The store is also very reasonably priced for souvenirs.

Good place nearby for a weekend with friends and family.

You get a picnic table, water faucet and dirty standing BBQ grill.

It was absolutely beautiful. The trails are very well maintained and shaded which is great for Texas summers. The park wasn’t crowded when we went so it was great for social distancing and everything was so green. We went about 2 weeks ago and the blackberries there were getting ready to go crazy. I’m sure about now they are are in full bloom. Wyoming, my tiny little dog would rate the trails 10/10. Although there were some obstacles she just viewed it as one big obstacle course. Also, the restrooms were amazing. They are some of the best I’ve ever seen at a state park. I don’t know if they were recently renovated but they were nice and clean.

Pretty nice park. Went here for Thanksgiving and everyone was so friendly. The restrooms are SUPER nice and clean. There is a family bathroom that was very convenient. There was also plenty of things to do.

We had such an incredibly great trip it deserves way more than five stars! We can’t in the group tent sites. It was absolutely lovely! The kids had so much fun chasing fireflies and playing until lights out. I highly recommend this especially for families. We also arranged to meet one of the park ranger volunteers for a guided hike. Armadillo Jack was his name and he was awesome!!! The kids had such a great time. We learned a lot about the plants and even saw a copperhead snake. Such a great weekend!
