Sound system? Area space small in size for big crowd.

An incredible venue from the outside – you can just see the history in the architecture and design of the building. There is strict security here for events which is nice because being in the downtown area you can get curious people walking off the street. It’s in a central area right off the 91fwy. Parking is a little tedious as you have to park about a half block away, no biggie, but was hard to find when we first arrived.

The theatre was designed in an eclectic Californian Spanish Renaissance Revival style by noted Angeleno architect Arthur B. Benton. Originally called the Soldier’s Memorial Auditorium, the venue was built to honor the service-members from Riverside Country who died in World War I.

I came here to see Ghost in May of 2018. First time at the venue and although they didn’t seem prepared for a show of this magnitude, I still thoroughly enjoyed myself. The place is absolutely beautiful and situated in a beautiful area. We got there early and had some great Mexican food before the show. This part of town is very walkable and I wish I had spent the night to explore more. The venue has an outdoor courtyard with a BBQ pit. There are bars everywhere and the sound was perfect. You’re definitely living it up in a venue like this. Can’t wait to go back.
