Super friendly staff.

Great experiences. I’ve never been treated so nicely at a place that would usually be uncomfortable for women. They answered every question I had and made me feel comfortable enough to be open with them. In the past I’ve dealt with judgmental and rude OBGYNs, so coming here was like a breath of fresh air! Definitely recommend. The Nurse practitioner and medical assistant are both very good at their jobs! 🙂

I called the Hudson center to ask about services without insurance. They were really nice and really helpful they went above and beyond to help me. All the staff from the nurses to the doctor were really wonderful. They even gave me the antibiotics I needed for free.

If you care at all about your health and being taken seriously, please read this.I went here for an abortion after discovering I was five weeks pregnant. At my very first visit, the reception staff were rude and unprofessional. They spoke down to me as if I was a crazy frantic pregnant lady just because I was asking a few questions. I was also given an absurdly unnecessary amount of testing. I had expected one or two ultrasounds, however I had FIVE over the course of two weeks. After the day of my consult and abortion apt setup, I had the first ultrasound which I had expected. It was transvaginal (not fun), and I was told she saw an empty uterus and that my hormone levels were abnormally high. I was told to go to the ER for a possible ectopic pregnancy. I frantically went, waited for hours, and had blood testing, an IV, and two ultra sounds. All to find out that the tech at Planned Parenthood had no idea what she was doing because the ER Tech saw a perfectly normal pregnancy with only an external ultra sound, and said that my hormone levels were exactly as expected. So I wasted a bunch of money there. Then a couple of days later I returned to Planned Parenthood to receive the abortion pill. They had the audacity to tell me I needed ANOTHER ultrasound, even though Albany Medical Center had sent over their images I had done at the ER. So now we’re on ultra sound number four. It’s finally over with and I’m told to sign a contract saying I’ll return in seven days for a routine follow up, which I was told was protocol. So I signed and returned in seven days as planned. When I arrived, I was still heavily bleeding from the pill which was normal, and was told I needed… you guessed it… ANOTHER ultra sound. This being my FIFTH. I asked why I couldn’t have a simple urine test done, they explained that the pregnancy hormones were still present in my system, and would give a false positive. So while I was waiting for the fifth ultra sound I did some reading about the abortion process, and found that an immediate 7-day follow up using ultra sound technology is ONLY used for those with complications or concerns during the abortion pill usage (NOT ME), and that most people just take an at home test 2-3 weeks after the abortion pill. So, I ended up sitting through another uncomfortable transvaginal ultrasound (WHILE BLEEDING), all for nothing. Point blank, if I had not been eligible for Emergency Medicaid and had almost all expenses covered, I would’ve pressed charges for an unnecessary number of tests, due to lack of professionalism and knowledge, leading to thousands due in medical bills (each ultra sound averages $700-800). However I was at least lucky enough to be covered. Although it was still a HUGELY unnecessary process, and I ended up taking multiple days off of work for no reason, while being put through way too many uncomfortable tests.PLEASE, do yourself a favor and do not go to planned parenthood of upper Hudson. Their staff is terrible and I wouldn’t go back there with a medical need for all the money in the world. With that being said, I still love the amazing ideologies that planned parenthood is based around, however this specific facility is a train wreck. Best of luck ladies!
