Social Profile :

When Alfred Peet opened his first coffee store in Berkeley, CA in 1966, he quietly ignited a revolution that forever changed the expectations for American coffee drinkers. Today, we continue to believe the only way to craft exceptional coffee is by selecting the world’s finest beans and hand roasting them in small batches to achieve the utmost flavor. We hand deliver each coffee to ensure freshness and hand craft each beverage at our coffeebars. We are committed to social responsibility from source to cup; we roast our coffees in the first LEED® Gold certified coffee roasting facility in the U.S.

Berkeley-born chain featuring signature coffee, tea & blended drinks alongside baked goods.

I ordered chi tea no ice no foam & it had 1.5 of foam which went away leaving me with a short drink. The muffins were good, blueberry & cranberry. The grilled cheese & egg sandwich was a little dry & need some mayo & ketchup. The veggie burrito was delicious!

A lot of vegan choices as well as coconut whip cream! Like say what!!!!The also have almond milk and soy milk for those who don’t like coconut milk, also they have a ton of coffee beans in a ton of flavours and they will grind it for you if you ask.Absolutely love this place.Personal favourite drinks are:Matcha green tea Javiva Blended with coconut milk and coconut whip cream.Or the Hibiscus berry splash iced tea.

When I used to take the 187 a lot, this was the place to hang out at to meet friendly people and pass the time. If you take your art knick knacks with you, people will approach you more and you will be as starved for human contact as someone who owns a dog. I met at least 3 artists here. One of them was a storyboard artist for Disney. It’s a nice place to people watch.
