I visited this store while in Birmingham Alabama for Mothers Day. A proud owner of several bracelets and necklaces, I purchased my mom a bracelets and several charms only to discover her wrist was much smaller than I’d surmised. Still in town on Monday, I took my mom to Pandora to exchange the bracelet that said family on the clasp for a better size which they did not have as inventory was low. Madeline appeared kind at first offering my mom more expensive bracelets but none at the same cost, ($75), until we inquired. My mom, equipped with her gift receipt, chose the $65 bracelet but was told she could only exchange or upgrade with a gift receipt. She would not be given the difference ($10+tax) or a gift card per the owners of the store. This would force my mother to buy a more expensive bracelet or an additional charm out of her pocket. I had the original receipt but what if I were home in Michigan? Upon reading the gift receipts fine print…I advised Madeline who was now clearly irritated with me questioning this policy that it states a gift card can be issued. Madeline stated that she would see what she could do and disappeared coming back with slips to sign and a terrible attitude. After I signed she said something we couldn’t make out as she hurried, turned and walked away. The prior visit to the store and the original sales rep and manager were very kind and helpful…but this last visit was very disheartening. My mom is 71 years old and I hate to think that she would have been taken advantage of if I weren’t there? Or maybe Madeline figured we couldn’t read or understand the gift policy because we’re black? Either way…the experience was repugnant and Pandora should be ashamed to have such poor representation!

Amazing Place. Very friendly staff at a very busy time. Did an exchange for a defective item no questions asked. if I lived in the area would get a lot of my business. Excellent customer service and staff.

With a few good workers here you could have a good experience but if you are caught by the manager… good luck! The manager, Will, at this store is extremely rude, greedy, and will do anything to get the extra money out of someone. Now i understand that selling is part of the job but it comes to the point where it is being money hungry on his part. This place is the least professional it gets, due to the store being owned by an individual and not the whole pandora company they lack the ability to do many of the exchanges and returns that you can do at the other stores. Also due to them being separately owned they do not handle things as professionally and it is very apparent to the costumers. There are a few of the workers that had many issues wether it be slow/incompetent work pace, attitude, or disrespect to their coworkers, such as Mikayla and the manager Will. The manager, Will, does absolutely nothing to fix these things seeing as he is also one of the big issues. You can’t run a work place when the head of it is a selfish money hungry and disrespectful man.
