Small place, friendly staff.

Food was okay (finger food, so you probably want to eat dinner beforehand).

My son very much enjoyed the dig pit and the collection of insects.

It shares the things that make this area of the state unique with interactive activities for children to understand our environment and wildlife.

This is a small place although my toddlers enjoyed it. It probably felt smaller than usual since the upstairs is closed. My kids enjoyed the excavation pit in the garden and the extensive bird collection. Nice activity for a rainy morning with little ones.

Person at front desk was very nice. The top floor was closed as they were setting up a new exhibit, so the museum felt a little small. I was expecting more ocean-realated things since its on the coast, but it had a much wider variety. Particularly an emphasis on birds. There were some interactive things for kids, but sadly closed for social distancing. Senior and student discount, free for Monterey County residents
