Ollie’s just opened here this week. It reminds me very much of Big Lots. I was impressed by the throw rugs and carpets in the back. I’ve added a few pictures of the inside of the store, including these carpets. The prices at the time of this posting ranged from around 20 dollars on up to a hundred or so for the larger ones. The book rack has a variety of hardcover books for collectors that include guns and knives, classic cars and locomotives, cookbooks, survival and camping, and kids books, to name a few. A snack aisle and kitchen utensils, along with some design items like wall hangings and small furniture top it off. I’ll be shopping here when I’m in the area!

1st visit. Went up and down every aisle. Lots of interesting things. Get to the check out with 1 customer in front of us. Had a cart full of merchandise & wanted to buy a bunch of tiles and pay with a check. This took 10 minutes because neither the person writing it nor the cashier knew how to do that. Finally! Nope. Still have the cart full. When she says the total, customer says ‘ how much ‘. Now gotta figure out how to change that. 8 minutes later, I left my cart and walked out. No one acknowledged us the whole time. The other register had a customer that was abandoned in the middle of the transaction so the cashier could do a refund…? She asked 4 other employees if they could open the other register. With hands up & shaking his head, he says ‘I can’t. I would if I could.’ Then she asks if one of them could please come finish the transaction, she’s been there more than 10 minutes. There were so many things I could have said, I chose to go to Dollar Tree.I will give them another try soon. Maybe it was just one of those days.TIP TO EMPLOYEES: Acknowledge your customers or they will walk out.

Tried to buy a couple of grand worth of flooring only to be told I would have to wait an 30 minutes just to pay for it so I can start loading. Never mind. I’ll find better service locations.
