The customer service here is top notch! Very attentive and kind staff greeted us and seated our party of 4 quickly. We were astonished by how promptly our food order was completed and delivered to our table. I’d say no more than 7 minutes after ordering. The staff is very hard working They were able to fill dine in orders timely while handling a steady stream of take out orders.We had 3 waffle combo plates and an order of biscuits and gravy. Generous servings of everything. The biscuits and gravy plate was enough for two! Food was hot and delicious . The waffles are so good we had to buy a couple bags of their signature pancake and waffle mix!

One of the best breakfasts in the East Bay. My favorite is the pecan waffle, top it with a mound of fruit and everyone will stare with jealousy at the glorious creation. A true east bay gem will always have Portuguese sausage on the menu as well so I always have to order some Linguiça every time I go. This is the type of place everyone can agree on, my parents love it. It’s stood the test of time since opening in 1927. When dine-in is open you can skip the line and sit at the counter which is open seating, which is my fave cause I like watching people cook. Friendly and fast service. You can also order their waffle mix from the website, it makes a great gift!

I love this classic diner. The outside is folksy with an awning; the interior is old-school but very clean. As of April 2021, they’ve reopened their indoor dining with limited, safe-distance seating.My 1/3 lb Cheddar cheeseburger was perfectly cooked (m), my fries hot and crispy, and the coffee (decaf for evening) was delicious. I love that Ole’s offers a choice of American, Swiss, Jack, or Cheddar instead of just the usual American cheese. My DH had a very good patty melt – although they mistakenly gave him American instead of Cheddar cheese. He didn’t bother to send it back because that’s hardly something to toss out a perfectly good sandwich over. Their salads have perky dark-green leaf lettuce, beets, and sunflower seeds.
