Im from Colorado, here on vacation. I walked into Newport Tattoo and Jake and staff was amazing. Jake was so excited and happy to help! He listened to exactly what I wanted, he got to play around with the idea and executed perfectly. The entire process was smooth and the building was so clean. Go here without a doubt!!

Went in with my sister to get matching tulip tattoos and was greeted right away by Jake who was super friendly and willing to help us design our tattoos. Jake worked with my sister and I worked with Pedro, who’s name I didn’t know until after my tattoo was finished when he showed me his Instagram. It seemed like it was his very first day at the shop, but he didn’t have any people/bedside manners. He didn’t talk to me while tattooing me, he didn’t ask for my input on the design of the tattoo (which Jake just drew up). The only words he said was “okay?” And “does it hurt?” The tattoo is off from my sister and is decently done, but I’m so disappointed in the way I was treated by him. I felt like I was over charged for a black tattoo, when my sister (who got color) was the same price. He didn’t explain to me about any of the aftercare procedures (again that was done by Jake). I’m hesitant about going back to that shop ever again because of how bad his service was. I’ve had several other tattoos done and he’s had the worst attitude I’ve seen. I left the shop to pull out more cash and tipped him 20% to which was $30 he responded with “$30?” And then said nothing else. Left the shop upset with my tattoo (as it wasn’t what I had in mind) and not happy with the artist.
