A Rotten AppleI came up to Napa for the weekend and realized I left my Mac power cord at home. I Googled and found Napa One, the only local Apple sales or service place for miles around. Don, the owner and only technician, said he had a power cord that would be $70.04 with tax — and he’d leave it on the porch. It’s just about what you pay at the Apple store, so I went for it. I took a Lyft to his cute Victorian house, grabbed the cord off his porch and left the cash.But the cord he sold was used and scratched up and it didn’t have the long part of the cord with the 3-prong plug.I called and told him I was disappointed with the purchase and tried to negotiate a lower price for a used half-cord. He refused and said I could take my money and go to Apple if I didn’t like it.Not at all what I would expect from a small town business man or someone using the Apple name so liberally. I would stay far away from Napa One.
