2 hours of history of every sort. Loved it. I think the souvenir store needs another look.

Can’t wait till the old jail addition is finally redone.

A nice little museum that goes through the history of South Texas. The museum itself is well organized with very thought out exhibitions. One major issue however, is that the mammoth skeleton on exhibit is not from the area – it’s actually from Florida and is a replica. The old jail is also located on the site, and has a very interesting exhibit on the jails only on site execution to have occurred, including the original room with the original trap door that was used for the execution.

Amazing place to stop and see it is rich with history and artifacts that tell a story of the past. I definitely want to go back and get video maybe a small interview. The staff is very knowledgeable with each piece in the rooms I was definitely fascinated with the dinosaurs.

It’s been awhile since I’ve visited and the updates are great. Definitely worth a visit for locals and visitors alike.
