Extensive selection of crafting materials. Pet friendly. This has got to be the first Michael’s I’ve visited in Austin, TX and the store felt quite large! Watch out Hobby Lobby! I’m a dog trainer and come here to work on desensitization to public/retail spaces with my dog(s).

The sheer variety of hyperspecific offerings which, despite offering to me no apparent use case, have certainly saved at least a dozen overwhelmed middle schoolers in tears facing an impending crafts deadline will never cease to amaze me. One can scarcely believe the possible shapes and strains of Styrofoam that line roughly 40% of the shelves at Michael’s. For one like myself, multiple pen lengths away from an artistic inclination, strolling through is a religious experience. Can all of this truly be necessary? Indeed it is; Look upon their works, ye Mighty, and despair! Five stars.

Called for information and the girl who answered the phone was very rude. She had an attitude as soon as she answered the phone, she was no help at all and seemed to not want to be there. I literally just needed help tracking something down and she basically said sorry can’t help with that. She gave me no other option but to hang up. I don’t understand why they can be at least pleasant on the phone. Even if they don’t know the answer they could try there best to find help to get the answer and even just have a good attitude about it and not be rude and sassy. Obviously management does not screen calls. They need some serious lessons on customer service.
