… an experience! If you are a fan – this is a MUST. We sat at a community table & everything thing that came to table was delicious and fresh. Do not miss the gift store!

Masks were required to enter the restaurant. Reservations are hard to get so try at least 2 to 3 weeks in advance of visiting Waco. I had the Chicken Salad on a croissant with red grapes and pecans. The croissant was flaky and they stuffed the sandwich in an interesting way. Instead of slicing the croissant in half, they cut a pocket in it with the points left intact. I’ve never thought of doing that and will use that technique at home. The chicken salad stayed in the pocket and very little of it spilled out. The sandwich comes with kettle-cooked chips which I’m not fond of but they were good. There are no French fries in the place. My sister had breakfast and she enjoyed it. She didn’t finish her biscuit and strawberry butter so I ate it and both were wonderful. Instead of the normal after dinner mint, you receive a caramel. I wish I had started savoring it before we left the restaurant because I would have loved to know who made them. It’s the best caramel I’ve ever had! They need to sell those candies in one of the Magnolia shops!

Magnolia Table – Gluten free Style: I went on a girls trip to Waco and we ate at the Magnolia Table. I’ve heard they have a 4 hour wait at times. Luckily my friend made a reservation months before. When we got there we were instantly seated but the line was around the parking lot so definitely make a reservation. I have celiac so I had to order gluten free! They didn’t have a gluten free menu but had options. Just ask the waitress. I got a good amount of food for the price! I couldn’t even eat it all! My only wish is that they had gluten free pancakes (which I don’t feel are very hard to do). But their gluten free French toast was good. I probably wouldn’t go back as it wasn’t ground breaking and wasn’t worth it for the wait, effort for a reservation and amount of people there. I’ve had better breakfast food but good for a fun stop when in town.
