Very informative.we went for a open house and garden tour. Very friendly docents. Gorgeous gardens. They have very very limited hours but we’ll worth the time.

Love LHS and their special events! The topics (of the reenactments, parties, fundraisers, workshops, speakers, local trips…) are educational, interesting and always mixed with a bit of humor (and refreshments). They are such a dedicated group. Be sure to check out their website/newsletter for the activity schedules. The Spring home and garden tours are wonderful & a welcoming community event, featuring historic homes, friendly conversations and history tidbits. Keep up the great work. I hope you plan a fun featured Halloween activity, this year, as you did about 4 years ago.

Very interesting. The docent was very knowledgeable. Learned so much about a place where I used to live. E.g. – had no idea Herman Melville, who authored Moby Dick, lived there, too!
