Sad thing is government is still charging tons of money to see this place.

When this place opens back up be sure to take a visit. I remember coming to Hearst Castle when I was a kid and I was in awe of the glitz and glamour that was seen before my eyes. When I came back a couple of years ago I felt the same way and loved the immaculate and intricate details in the design of each room. Take one of the many tours they offer and probably better to plan your tour in advance.

Beautiful place to explore and definitely makes a great backdrop for any picture. The tours are very informative and the guides are very knowledgeable. Great first time there and will be taking more friends once it opens again!

If you have never been to Hearst castle before, once it is open again I recommend it to everyone. It is one of the most spectacular places in California to visit. They have several tours to choose from and all are very interesting. The history of the man who built it and the many famous people he entertained there is nothing short of incredible. The art work on display is second to none. The grounds are as beautiful today as they must have been back then. If you love the Christmas holidays they decorate beautifully, a must see. I wish I still had my pictures to share.
