I forgot to bring a dress shirt to work so I had to get one out of necessity.

I stopped by there yesterday on my way to Amiri and I got to say I love the clothes. Never been to this location before. I always stick to Beverly Center because that’s more local for me. But since I saw it while I was walking, I popped in. It has a very nice COVID safe layout. Everyone remains 6feet apart. The workers were very friendly and welcoming. I was being helped by Joe (I think that was his name). Very handsome (like so beautiful :X) even with his mask on… He took his time to show me the collection and helped with all the size questions and fits. For a first time experience at this location, it was nice.

I love Club Monaco, I wear their clothes all the time. This store is very clean and well-kept. The service has been okay. Nothing to rave about. They have occasional sales which is when I really go crazy with what I buy!

Worst customer service I’ve experienced. Now, when you think of Beverly Hills, you think of exceptional customer service. This was not the case.I forgot to bring a dress shirt to work so I had to get one out of necessity. I work in the area so its not a far distance to travel. When I walked into the store there were about 3-4 girls at the front all doing projects. They looked up and saw me coming in, but didn’t even greet me to say hello, or even a simple nod. They just continued doing what ever project they were doing. I also needed help, but I wasn’t going to approach any of them as none of them because of the lack of even a simple acknowledgement of me walking in.So I’m in the back looking for a button down, or a white t-shirt wandering around for a good 5 minutes before this Asian lady comes up to me and ask if I need help. I replied back saying Yes, I forgot my shirt and I need any white shirt. She proceeds to show me what they have. Unfortunately every white shirt has a pocket on it, and for what I do, that isn’t professional enough. So I proceeded to ask for a button down as she didn’t think to offer me that, even though I told her I need to get something as what I had on was inappropriate currently. She lets me know that all she has was a classic fit. At this point in time, I just don’t care and asked her to bring it to me. While I waiting I found this amazing camel sweater that I love. She showed me to the fitting room and that’s where I ended up getting the sweater (even though its a bit big, I don’t mind the oversized) and the button down, because I just need it at this point. We proceed to check out and I let her know that no one even greeted me when I came in, which she did apologize for. I also let her know MY name and where I worked before I left the register. It was a chance for her to give me her name, but she never did. She was like thanks, come again.Anyways I rush back to work, wear the sweater because its amazing. The next day I noticed that my button down that she gave me had a mark on it. So I went to go exchange it out. When I walked in this time, a guy greeted me and was extremely friendly. I let him know that I needed to exchange the button down. An older lady with short black hair took over, I believe she was the SM but never revealed her position to me.I told her Wow, it’s a much different atmosphere in here today. She inquired about what I meant. I told her that no one greeted me and that it took 5 minutes for anyone to approach me for help. I even let her know that I was guaranteed on buying something because I forgot my dress shirt at home. She responded, in an extremely POINTED and rude tone OH, WHAT ARE WE GOING TO DO WITH YOU? Making it seem like it was MY fault, and I was over reacting to the lack of customer service. And then she mentioned that because she wasn’t there. So I’m not sure what she meant by that. Not sure it would have changed much, because I can see where the leadership is and how it trickled down to her team.I even told her that I work in the area and that the Asian girl was the only one that helped me and that I tried to get her to introduce herself (Because I like Club Monaco’s stuff and would have kept buying from that one girl, but it seemed like she did not care for client relations) by giving her my name and where I work before I left. The lady kept shaking her head, the conversation was short. This was the most rude experience I’ve ever had in my entire life at a retail store. So once we wrapped up the exchange she asked if I wanted my receipt back. I told her no, as this experience made me cut ties with Club Monaco completely. So even if that one didn’t work out, I did not want to ever come back into that toxic store. To be honest, it also ruined the brand for me. I will never shop again at Club Monaco.I advise people who want to shop at this location just to go down to the Beverly Center as they are actually friendly, greet you, and assist you if needed.
