The cashier who assisted me had zero people skills! I bought $10 worth of gas, a Smart Water and the last four bananas they had for sale at 2 for $1.00, yet I was charged $1.00 PER banana, doubling their price. When I brought this to her attention, she reiterated my point and agreed that the price of bananas was, in fact, 2 for $1.00 – not 1 for $1.00, which is outrageously high, however, even though she rang my order up incorrectly, and even though I paid with cash, making it the most uncomplicated type of transaction possible, she still refused to reimburse me for the difference and she even told me that if I wanted a refund I’d have to come back the following day to see a manager. She had a very condescending tone and demeanor; she even had the audacity to catch an attitude with me as if it were she who’d been overcharged and inconvenienced. Until Circle K can hire and train clerks with customer service skills, I’ll take my business across the street to Texaco.
