Social Profile :

Castello di Amorosa in Italian is “The Castle of Love. This architectural masterpiece is an authentically built, 13th century Tuscan castle winery with high walls, five defensive towers, and 30 acres of estate vineyards. It was built over a 14-year period by Dario Sattui, a fourth-generation winemaker. After decades of studying medieval castles in Italy, Sattui commenced building in 1994. The Castello evolved to include 136,000 square feet, 107 distinct rooms, (of which 95 are used for winemaking or wine storage) The Castello, however, is a backdrop to showcase some of the Napa Valley’s best wines. The vineyards are planted with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Primitivo, and Sangiovese grapes. Winery tours and Wine Tastings await.

13th-century–style winery offering guided tours of the castle & tastings of Italian-inspired wines.

They should not offer tasting at that time if the staff is not willing to work.

The wines were tasty and the tasting room downstairs in the castle was fun.

It is a pretty new castle, the scale is relatively smaller to what I had imagine. The place is gorgeous, love the architecture and nice garden. I went during the pandemic for wine tasting, unfortunately they don’t serve food and don’t have the tour so we didn’t get to see much. Highly recommended trying the sweet wine Fantasia. I am willing to drive back and forth from the bay to just buy a bottle of it!

Fabulous wine. Fabulous castle. Put them together, and you have an amazing wine tasting experience. Just finished wine tasting with COVID restrictions. I hope they keep some of the format. Guided tour than shown to seated tasting. Great, friendly and knowledgeable servers. Easy wine purchase and pick up after self-guided castle tour at the end. Wonderful way to spend the afternoon. Highly recommend. Get the chocolate option with your tasting if still available.

An amazing wine tasting experience that these pictures don’t do justice at all. This need to be experienced in person. The winery castle itself is magnificent and so are the hosts who greet and serve you. Our host Lorenzo was a charmer and provided us with the best service.Had booked the tickets in advance for seated reserve wine tasting.Wish they could offer hot bread with butter with the wine!
