Too bad there isn’t a 6 star rating. What can you say that hasn’t been said about Bijan? Speaking not as a visitor but a resident of Beverly Hills for many years, this is the only boutique that always stood out from the rest and represented the heritage of 90210. Opened in 1976, this is the last of the original locally owned boutiques, and continues to carry the torch that Fred Hayman lit way back in the day. Founder and designer Bijan Pakzad was a local legend and the man who raised the bar as high as it could go. After his untimely passing in 2011, his son Nicolas carried on that tradition with true class and character. A very down to earth, family run business, yet featuring the most intricately beautiful and expensive clothing you will find anywhere on earth. And on a personal note, when our kids were doing their annual school fundraiser at the local elementary school, House of Bijan was the only local business that contributed. What a class act all the way around. I must end this review with a simple congratulations to Nicolas Bijan himself. Being the son of a legendary designer and inheriting the business is no small task – one might assume it would be hard to step out of his father’s shadow. Such as not been the case. Yes, he carries on the memory of his father with grace and respect, but he has stepped into his own light and made Bijan his own over these past nine years. Bijan will be around for a long time, and that’s a nice feeling. Long Live Bijan!
