SCAM ALERT: do NOT try to order anything from Batteries + Bulbs and avoid working with the store located near the corner of Holleman and Texas Avenue in College Station. We placed an on-line order in late February for curbside pick up. Not all items were available at our local store, so they called and asked if we wanted to wait to pick up until the out-of-stock items were delivered to the store. We agreed. They promised to call and email when the items were ready for pick up. They did not. We finally gave up and called. Items were there (& had been for days), so we arranged curbside pickup. Got there and they wouldn’t bring us our order, claiming we had an outstanding balance – for an order we paid for IN FULL on-line – which is the ONLY WAY you are allowed to place an order anyway. Their only recourse was to offer to give us less than the number of items we paid for… that’s IT! So we canceled our order and came home. Now to find some place that will actually give us the items we pay for.
