Best distillery in the state, and my favorite whisky – period. These guys are leading the way for single malt in America. They are trailblazers in the industry and we are lucky to have them in Waco.I love stopping in whenever I get the chance. No matter if it’s to pick up a bottle, to try a flight, or to attend an event, Balcones never disappoints. The staff is always friendly, the spirits are always stellar, and the beer is always cold. What’s not to love about a world class establishment such as Balcones?

Bummed we couldn’t do anything inside but totally understand they’re still doing COVID protocol. There’s a tasting tent in the parking lot which they’ve done a good job of trying to make it comfy. The whiskey was great but the snack options were a little lack luster.

This place is great! Due to Covid, They set up a tent outside the main building to allow the facility to remain open while practicing social distancing. Inside the tent they have from a bar, tall tables, heaters, to even a small gift shop. They offer tastings, mixed cocktails and small food items as well. The staff was nice and very knowledgeable.
