I have used Avana Windows & Doors for my home in Houston and now also for a rental in Corpus Christi, Texas. I used Avana a second time cause my first experiences was great! My second experience was even better! Being a rental home, I was not there during the installation. The crew was great. They send me photos during installation and when the job was completed. When i did get down to Corpus my first impression was aw-inspiring. It was amazing how much better the place looked from the outside. After inspection of the install job I was, once again, impressed. The crew did not leave any mess, they reinstalled all the blinds and the windows were clean! The house beams now with all the natural light. Thank you again Avana for another great job and satisfied customer.

Our window upgrade started in mid summer 2020. Avana was among several companies to provide a quote for window installation. Their pricing was extremely competitive and we ultimately picked them for our order/installation. It took 6 weeks or so for the order to be fulfilled. Not at all Avana’s fault considering the pandemic and made to size windows etc. My complaint is with the actual installation and company follow up.The installation was completed efficiently where 10 windows were replaced within 2 days. However, the installation was VERY messy in particular the caulking of the inside portion of the windows. They left caulk on the inside frame portion of almost every window. They have been too the residence several times to fix the caulking but they realize it’s too hard to fix and therefore come up with an excuse to leave. They say they will call you back to schedule a time to return and they don’t. They are very much like the average Corpus Christi contractor in that regard. Additionally, they damaged a portion of my master bath room sheet rock during the removal of the old windows. Not a major thing, was fixed in literally 2 minutes. However, they didn’t tell me about it and let me find it. Also, shortly after installation (merely a couple days) during cleaning of the windows I noticed one of our new windows were cracked. Mind you, we purchased hurricane storm windows. It just happened that one of the workers was there that day or soon there after on one of the caulking visits and I was able to pass along to him. He alluded to the fact that during installation they noticed a chip in that window. Again, if that is true, they didn’t tell me about it.Communication……. Wendy is very proactive when the bill of sale is open. After you provide payment…….. Not so much. I very much regret authorizing payment prior to completion of tasks. While complaining about how messy they left the caulking and expressing that I regret paying before completion she assured me that she would stay on top of it…….At the time of this writing, the contactor was here 7 days ago with absolutely no follow up from Avana. Nor their assigned contractor who when he left stated he needed a chemical to remove the caulk and he would be in contact with me to come back. I get it takes time to obtain supplies. But, the lack of communication of when to expect it etc was very disappointing.To Avana’s credit they have attempted to make this “right”. However, because there is always a reason to leave the home and not finish, I have made the choice to discontinue working with them and will finish the job by myself. Of note, the only special tool or chemical that was needed to complete the task was good ole fashion attention to detail and a little elbow grease.

Delivery of the windows was timely. The installation by Jeff and team was a beautiful job, more than I had hoped for. This was a very positive experience!
