FIrst review of the Carlsbad Apple store after many visits with similar experiences. The staff would be wonderful, if it weren’t for the arrogant ambiance created by Apples unnecessary bureaucracy. Even on slow days (including pre COVID) I’ve had to create an appointment for the simplest warranty support, which means a second trip to the store.A couple days ago I took my son to buy a new Macbook Air. The sales rep wasn’t able to process the order with education pricing in-store. No problem…I placed the order on my phone, for in-store pick-up. I then asked him to see if he could have someone fill the order since I was waiting. His response, No. You’ll have to wait 30 minutes for someone to process your order, and I need you to wait outside. Right….I’m going to wait for you to sell me something….the ONE retail store on the planet that isn’t eager to sell products.I left immediately, cancelled the order, and picked up the same Macbook Air, for the same price, and with an extra 1 year of warranty at Costco.
