We took one of the last tours of the season (late September) and were pleasantly surprised!Our guide was a young local guy and REALLY knew his stuff. you could tell how passionate he was about Sitka, as well as the animals that lived there.During our morning tour on the St. Eugene we saw:- Eagles- Otters- Whales- Birds- Beautiful viewsOn board the boat you can stay below where it’s enclosed and warm, or go above to the viewing deck where it’s open to the air and better for photosThere are 2 washrooms on the boatDuring the tour they hand out free coffee and hot chocolate, and you can buy other beverages if you wish. They also hand out local jams and treats like smoked salmon you can sample and buy more of.We learned a LOT about local flora and fauna during our time and would recommend this tour 100% to ANYONE visiting Sitka!

We did this sea otter tour on our Alaskan cruise. Not only were we blessed with a raft of otters and several eagles, we also spotted easily a dozen whales. The boat was not crowded, the crew was knowledgeable and engaging. We very much enjoyed it.
