A must see in Sitka! These birds are so lucky to have a place like this to recover, rehabilitate, and return to their natural habitat. The staff is knowledgeable and happy to answer any questions. Birds who are not able to be released back into the wild live out their days as “ambassadors” for the center, helping with their educational and fundraising programs.

This center is world class! You get to view birds of prey from an indoor flight/viewing area the size of a football field – I’ve never seen anything this impressive before! Outdoors you also can see the eagles in a forest enclosure from above. There is a really interesting great grey owl – such a beautiful creature. Tito is inside a the guest services desk – a tiny owl that is just adorable! The center provides care for injured birds and those that can’t be released reside there. Such an amazing place!!! I see why National Geographic Live did a show on them!!!
