2016 Tour was AMAZING This was inside passage glacier tour. May be different company. Ours was safe distance from calving glacier in Glacier Bay, Tracy Arm Fjord. Very windy, 1 family dropped $1000 camera so hope they see these pics! Bring hats, coats, chilly 50 ish°. Picture ops were GREAT. [email protected]

Capt. Mark and mate Katch (sp?) were a great team on our round trip (tour package) from Skagway to Juneau on our day trip in mid June. A sweet 65′ catamaran cruiser with dual Lugger motors flew us along at close to 30 knots. With this cabin cruiser we were able to stop and view wildlife along the way in style (we counted 18 humpbacks, a pod of Orcas, bald eagles, sea lions, and more), out on the back viewing platform, or from the heated cabin. We met a luxury bus that showed us some of the interior, and took us into town where we found time to visit Mendenhall Glacier (on our own), and walk downtown (cruise ship row) before the return trip. Apparently a family run operation, we never felt like sheep being herded along at any point. Was really good times for the three of us! I spent most of my time on the stern bagging pics of all the excitement between conversations with family, crew, and passengers. Thanks to all for such a great trip along the Inside Passage!

The view here is simply spectacular! They have a locomotive and an old steam engine that will travel you up the scenic side of a tall mountain and across the boarder into Canada! The train cars are quaint with each car having a rustic wood stove and ample areas to view the wilderness.
