The Alameda Farmers’ Market is open Tuesdays & Saturdays, year-round. It’s the best place to shop for seasonal fruits and veggies, as well as other local goods like honey, eggs, or artisan cheese! The Alameda Farmers’ Market is operated by the Pacific Coast Farmers Market Association, a non-profit organization that operates multiple farmers markets throughout the Bay Area. PCFMA’s mission is to empower local farmers and ranchers to be successful in their communities, while providing those communities with access to healthier, better food. All PCFMA markets accept EBT (Cal-Fresh) and WIC FMNP (Women, Infants and Children Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons).

The Alameda farmers market is a nice bike ride or walk from anywhere on the island. With the new addition of pop up tents and little stores for fun items like plants, stickers, jewelry and witchcraft (feathered outlaw) it is bigger and brighter. Always has great produce and dairy and has a great atmosphere.

My favorite local farmers market. A diverse group of vendors with plenty of selection and friendly faces. The hummus stand, tamales, and Bright Farm veggies are my favorite. They also have gorgeous a flower stand with affordable and fresh flowers. Definitely recommend if you’re in the area! Every Saturday and Tuesday.

Pretty small but still a cool place. Got the empanadas, spinach and feta, and that was really good. Got a lot of other stuff but haven’t tried it yet. The variety is pretty great.
