Soon as the pandemic hit I was in need of a new hobby and found myself returning to skates. With the help of the folks down at Quad Republic I was able to build a pair of my own from some tennis shoes I bought online. They were built pretty sturdy and are super secure. Rating 4 stars only because of the wait time for the plate needed underneath the shoe (which is uncomfortable as hell) took forever to arrive. Probably not their fault, but no one ever followed up to let me know when to expect something…… all in all I’m pleased.

LOVE this skate shop! Employees are super helpful and extremely patient. Inventory is excellent. Wish the East Bay had more skating rinks!Note: this store is moving a short way down the street but will still be on San Pablo Avenue.

I brought in a new pair of Moxi Lolly Skates today. The toe stop was so tight that I could not loosen the nut (with an Allen wrench) to adjust my toe stop. The nice lady helped me with my skates. She did not charge me, so I made a couple of purchases to support the business. The staff is welcoming and very friendly. They have a wide selection of merchandise for your roller skating needs. Thank you so much for your help!
