I just had reconstructive surgery on my left foot and my doctor recommended a Hi tec high top hiking boot for my extensive rehab. He indicated that I could find the boot at Big 5. I checked the website and found the boots my doctor recommended. They needed to have space for an added insole. We found the nearest store in Pleasant Hill and, to my delight, the boot was in stock and ON SALE. I was able to stuff my bandaged foot into the boot. They are very comfortable and since I will have to wear them daily for a while, they will go nicely with my work attire. Thank you Big 5, for being there, and your fast and easy service too.

So you are not going to summit Everest today or play in the Champions league this week or make the French Open quarterfinals. You are going for a walk in the woods, maybe catch some fish. Or you want a mat to do some dumbell curls. This is why I love this store. They have affordable sports equipment for the recreational athlete. On my recent visit, the store manager was working the floor and helped me find some gloves. They did the job without costing 80 dollars!
