My first time using a 3PL I emailed to ask what was required for me to book space. Carina seemed helpful when I enquired in November. I did what she said and completed on online form in early December and received a work order number. I had a question which was answered within 24 hours. So I gave my Chinese supplier the green light to ship my goods to California. On 29 Dec I received an email from Zebrapals saying thank you for your business, we will advise when your goods arrive. On 31 Dec (just as goods arrived in the US), I get an email from Zebrapals saying they are full, cannot accept my goods and are cancelling my work order. I spend several days emailing, ringing and messaging advising they have already confirmed space for me and attach all correspondence (I am based In New Zealand). I get no response. Finally an email arrives saying they will not re-instate my work order as they are full and have not accepted any new clients since 1 Dec. Despite documentation to the contrary, correspondence and confirmation throughout December and me pleading with them to accept as my goods had already landed, they refuse and say if my goods arrive they will be turned away. This is exactly what happened and it is costing me another USD600 to re-send them to another 3PL in California. Absolutely shocking handling of the situation. In New Zealand, any company who confirms something in writing has to honor it. I would have thought the US was the same. Stressful, frustrating and expensive experience for me. I will be telling everyone I know avoid Zebrapals at all costs.
