Four years ago, blew six grand on an acrylic tub. The men said it would take 2 days, they spent four. And as an added bonus, they wanted to charge me for a new pipe I probably didn’t even need. It’s so narrow, it takes 10 minutes for the tub to drain after a shower, which leaves a disgusting residue. The workman were also smart alecks.THEY STINK.

This is possibly the worst company I have ever dealt with and I can’t even believe they are still in business. It was one problem after another problem. When one of their salesperson came and gave us an estimate it seemed to good to be true. He said that I had nothing to worry about and they would take of everything. When I asked them about the permits he stated that he did work in my building previously and he would take care of getting them.Long story short, they never got the correct permits to do the work on my bathrooms. When I looked at the permit when I had to get the bathrooms inspected by the building department I noticed they only put a shower valve. The main reason for this is they did not have a New Jersey license plumber so they had to hire one and did not want to have pay him for all the plumbing work. So, they got into the building with the permit and did all the plumbing themselves. However, the problem is all the other work was not done without a permit and if anything was done wrong I could be held liable for all the work. When I realized Xpress Bath did not pull the correct permits I called the company and spoke to owner the owner. He stated I was responsible for the permits because it was in fine print on the back of the contract. I was really upset because I was never asked to look into getting them and I was told not to worry about it. When I spoke to owner he said that there were many times when they do work without a permit and if stopped they then go and get the permit. The owner basically said he would not help us obtain the proper permits after everything was done and that we should not worry about it. Long story short I had to pay another company to come in and open up the bathroom so the inspector could check everything out. It cost me a tremendous amount of money. Please do not use this company. They do not care about the customer and are just looking out for themselves. In addition, their customer service is terrible. They do not return your phone calls and they are not professionals. Be careful because you are not dealing with license plumbers. You are better off hiring someone who is license and is going to do it correctly and with the correct permits. Do not let the initial estimate make you hire them. Trust me it will be a mistake.

I am thrilled to see I am not alone . I had my bathroom done just after Hurricane Sandy in 2012. The two young men who did it were untrained and incompetent. I wanted plain white for a tiny bathroom ( the only one I have which is why the idea of a one day make over was so enticing). They ran out of plain white and glued a marbled blue end cap along the end of the bathtub stall. They did not anchor the shelves I had paid so much extra for. Today 5 of the 6 shelves have come off the walls. And HAVE NEVER BEEN REPLACED nor has the radiator cover or the peeling grout and huge gap of old blue tile just left bare. They promised to repair it reminding me that I had a warranty !I filed with the BBB …. TWICE ! Twice they promised to come and repair it and most recently had both a set of installers and later the project manager himself Roman Alvarenga came to my house took photos to show to his boss and promised walls with shelves built in! This was back in early June of this year. I called and called … Roman even gave me his personal cell number .NOTHING. No response. I called the office the girl there said they had downsized and Roman was very busy and I would have to wait my turn : she had little to say when I told her I had waited for my turn since 2012If you are contemplating using X PRESS BATH : STOP : I have a feeling they will be out of business very soon. My guess is that the management as usual will protect their assets and do other appalling corrupt business under another name. Like FRED C, I am also headed up the SMALL CLAIMS COURT FOR THE FULL $ 5000.00 as my renovation cost $ 6336.00 for a bathroom the size of a closet. Like the rest of you the samples that were used to persuade me to buy were much sturdier more lustrous products than the flimsy cheap plastic that ended up on and off my bathroom walls . Fred C please get in touch with me or let me know how to reach you : folks maybe a class action lawsuit is in order ?please get together and get our money back for repairs / completion and to stop this corrupt scam happening to someone elseThank youAlexandra Shea
