Extremely disappointed with this place. I have been a customer for many years. Never have I experienced an issue. I recently went in March 2021, I purchased a mattress. I was told give us a few days someone will call you . I waited for 1 week and finally decided to call them. When I called them I was told my order hadn’t been submitted. They said give us a week. A week goes by and I call them again. And then was told oh the order hasn’t arrived yet. They said a few more days. What bothered me the most was the lack of communication and the attitude they gave when calling to inquire about your order. If only they did their job of communicating and calling customers, I wouldn’t have to call? The worst customer service and poor management. Wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone unless you want to wait 2 months for your order and constantly call them to check it. The worst thing is I was told by the gentleman loading my order that my order had been there all along !!!

I want to start off this review by saying I am a lifelong resident of the Turlock area and have been a Woods Furniture Customer for most of my adult life. Now, A few years back my wife and I were saddened by the possibility of Woods Furniture closing as they had all kinds of “going out of business” and “Retirement” banners around their store. We needed a new living room set so we stopped in. Come to find out it was one of the brothers who was retiring and “going out of business”, nonetheless we purchased a very nice, very pricy sectional for our living room. This transaction and subsequent delivery/setup went well.The beginning of October, my recliner, which was also a Woods purchase, was not working out for me, so I went in to purchase another. After much consideration, I special ordered a recliner. Due to the current outbreak, the order would not be here for 4-6 weeks.In late October, my wife decides to replace the bedroom furniture and we go to, of course, Woods. Again, nothing is in stock and we order what the wife selected. 2-4 weeks we were told.November 14, 2020 my wife had spent over three hours back and forth on the phone with Woods to get a status on our orders. She was told the bedroom furniture was ready and they had pulled pieces from other orders to get it ready for us. I was not happy with that since someone else would be left waiting, possibly longer than we have been. We were also told the manufacturer of the recliner did not have the material in stock to cover the recliner and had no idea when it would be in stock. At this point we were at the 6 week mark on the recliner order and WE had to call to get a status. Before, communications were always top notch and we were notified of any delays. We decided to cancel both orders and get a refund and I won’t get into how that went.Long story short, I went to another long time furniture store in Hughson and bought a recliner, which was a match to what I had ordered at Woods, but at half the cost. We went to a newer furniture store in Downtown Turlock and found similar bedroom furniture for cheaper too.Needless to say, I won’t be back to Woods Furniture. Just a different, bad vibe and absolutely zero customer service after the purchase.

Do not buy from Woods and do not buy a Flexsteel couch! We made the Most expensive purchase on a Flexsteel couch with Woods Furniture. We have been loyal customers for years our grandparents have been loyal customers. We bought a Flexsteel last year it came damaged. We were delivered another one which also came with defects. Everything from rips, to the fabric not being pulled correctly so it’s completely loose in the back to every seat having different cushioning. The backs having some Goose feather to other having the actual material we opted for. Our whole corner of couch cannot be sat on because the material inside is not the same as the other part of the couch and it sinks. Fast forward to 2020 we still have a defective couch. Covid has hit and no one is helping. I have a chain of emails with multiple employees, text messages etc. We had a company that woods sent out to evaluate it and they said half the couch had to be redone! Yet here we are going into October and l have heard nothing for repairs. I have contacted woods, Flexsteel you name it. Over $5000 spent and no one wants to step up and take responsibility for a the defective product we keep receiving. The customer service has been a joke!!! I am a patient person but this is straight up ridiculous now. If I can help anyone from not doing a mistake like we did I hope you read this. I hope someone in that office reads this as well. I am now to the point we’re I am requesting a refund and of course I am hearing nothing from them. Woods I have emailed you again tonight and still waiting for a response per our last conversation on 9/10/2020. Communication is so important and I never like to do this to a business. I have always supported local.
