INSTALL DATE = 2/10/20. TIRES AGE AT INSTALL = 57-60 MONTHS. TIRE WARRANTY = 60 MONTHS. Bought 4 new Nitto truck tires supplied by Wheelpros.com to my custom builder and they sent 5 year old brand new tires. Though unused, they are too old to be sold as new. After some telephone calls with their representative Ruben Rincon, and him agreeing that new tires should not have more than a 12 month old DOT manufacture date, on Feb 20, 2020 he agreed to replace them and asked for a little extra time due to the hard-to-find size of the tires. I agreed. He never got back to me after that. I followed up and still haven’t heard back. It has been over 4 months.I should’t pay full retail at $800 per tire for new 5 year old tires that when provided to me are already out of the tire manufacturer’s warranty and/or unsafe to continue to drive on beyond 1 more year according to my truck manufacturer Ford Motor Company who says 6 years old is the oldest tires can be safely driven on. The NHTSA and other vehicle manufacturers, and America’s Tire all say similar things. I’m open to a refund, or replace all 4, or even a partial refund of 3/4 of the price since I’m only going to get 1/4 of the useful time to safely drive on these tires.
