This place is my sanctuary! I have lived in NYC for 5 years and have explored many of the local preserves and this is one of my favorites mostly because the are no dogs allowed so you don’t see dog poop everywhere like at Arthur Butler which is across the street. They also have a lot of great programs for both adult and kids and a nice little display in their main building.

Beautiful trail. Went on a Wednesday night at 5:30pm and the large parking lot was nearly empty. The well marked trails were a breeze to navigate. The Cole Nettles loop via Spruce Hill took just over an hour. Just don’t forget the insect repellent!

We love hiking here! Beautiful trails that are the perfect level of not too easy and not too hard. Never too crowded either, which makes it a great Covid-Safe spot!
