The pharmacist Maria was amazing!

I patronized WU pharmacy for years simply because of its location.

I went in today to get last minute vaccines for my new job. They took me in without an appointment. The receptionist (?) was super sweet and helpful. The pharmacist Maria was amazing! She was very gentle and described the whole process and reiterated while she gave me my vaccines. She was very thorough in explaining the vaccination process and handled my paperwork outstandingly. Would definitely come back!

They’re always very friendly and helpful. They’re a small pharmacy, so the even remember me when I call.

If you’re a chronic/intractable pain patient, avoid this pharmacy at all costs. At least 3 times per year I was told they had to order my monthly pain medication, so sometimes I had to wait a week or longer to get my meds; many times I would be in the pharmacy waiting 15-20 minutes just for them to tell me of the supposed med shortage, and there were only one or two other customers waiting. Strange how that one medication of mine was the only med they were always out of. If you are in constant pain you know how bad life can get without medication, not to mention having to go through withdrawls. Though most of the staff was polite, their skeptical looks and body language when I filled my monthly prescription told a different story. Nobody likes being stereotyped. I went to the same doctor and pharmacy for my medication every month, year after year. Above board and legal every time. On top of everything WU is a teaching pharmacy. Do we really want our future pharmacists to stigmatize people for the medications they take? I patronized WU pharmacy for years simply because of its location. I don’t own a vehicle and it was too expensive (and painful) to get back and forth from another pharmacy. I’m glad I moved out of Pomona and left WU pharmacy behind me!
