I go to Walmart almost every two days and every week for groceries. Yesterday’s night around 11pm (when store was closing) I got stopped by the lady called Jane which was checking the receipts. (Which is not a greeter because she was not greeting people). Due to the pandemic I never let any employees touch by paper receipts because I am scared of viruses. I always tell that to the people that check the receipts before you go out of the Walmart exit door. This time I did advise Jane that I didn’t want for her to touch my receipt and she got mad and took me outside of the Walmart exit door because she needed light go see the receipt. The lady started to get mad and failed to check the receipt correctly and accused us of stealing two packs of Angel soft toilet paper. She said that she didn’t see them and that we didn’t scanned them because they were not on the receipt. By this time we had a big line behind us that was holding to exit because she started saying that we stole the things and she push the shopping car back inside to Walmart because we were stealing. Another lady came (Walmart employee, which I didn’t get her name but both were wearing yellow vests) I showed her that both the 12 pack Angel Soft toilet paper and the 8 pack Angel Soft toilet paper were clearly there on the receipt. She checked and apologized. I told her that the other lady was mad because I didn’t let her touch my receipt and that’s how she accused us of stealing. You can check the cameras o was clearly showing the receipt to the poor customer service Of the employee Jane. It was 05/22/2021 around 11pm CST.This cannot be happening every time I go yo my local store or any store. This is not the only time that happens. The employees always check incorrectly and they accused us of stealing supposedly because we don’t scan certain items. Well, then why do you guys only have self checkouts, it is pointless. Bad customer service.Another thing, this situation was really uncomfortable and embarrassing, unacceptable from this really large company to have employees like this and not even managers showed up to talk to me about this incident. Poor customer service.
