It’s a fine grocery store with…wait for it…GROCERIES!YAY! Some of the food is actually healthy too. It’s not always obvious but with some time and patience you’ll find it. If it’s there.Lines usually move quickly. A plus.

This store employees as well as Albertsons (parent company) itself, our extremely offensive towards any persons or organization’s that arent at least upper-middle class & up. They practice their type of discrimination by disguising it as regular inflation and price increases. It is definitely not just normal, since Albertson’s bought Safeway Co. In the beginning of 2015 price’s seem to have close to doubled! I understand how that sound’s, sour grapes or disgruntled shopper. But I am talking about something that is a fact and i will state a few examples; 1st off they put anti-theft system on cart’s, innocent? Necessary? Well yes if you have a car but if your elderly and/or poor and possibly disabled to boot. That is extremely hard to deal with, the 50 cent’s they pay (per cart) to have carts picked up and returned to their location is nothing compared to what a ride from Uber or Lyft or god forbid a old-fashioned taxi cab(if they still operate, would be very expensive). And another ex. Is a little different, but I promise if you see all together instead of individually , a pattern will be visible So they removed benches inside store and outside on walkway by front entrances. Once again this is hardest on the poor, elderly, and disabled. And any practical reason to do with safety & security could easily have been mitigated if their was even a tiny bit of will on their part for a solution or dare i say a compromise could have been achieved. And finally the ex. that’s the hardest to see negatively but just look at the totality of their actions. Well they forbid anyone from either pan handing or really almost stopping at all in the front parking of the store’s. And if you happen to be carrying a bag or two (from another store maybe)? And don’t be homeless carrying your stuff with so it wont be stolen because if you do , they will call the police with NO questions asked. I guess you cant eat if u find yourself without residence, so just one more reason to not CHOOSE to go houseless. If you throw all that together and don’t forget about their extreme price hikes, it isnt even difficult to see which way they believe is proper to treat their less fortunate neighbor’s, if not there neighbors than possiblywould be. customers or maybe there potential customers if you like. Cause anyway you slice it they are discriminating against regular people that might have fallen on bad times (and also they might choose to be out there for drink or drug’s or even to avoid any and all responsibility as far as being part of normal society). But how does it justify their total company wide mistreatment, (at the least) and probably closer to class, & disabled person’s, & seniors & minority discrimination (and at the most likely most.) So finally to bring this simple. REVIEW to a conclusion. If you are fine with VON’S & SAFEWAY’S & ALBERTSON’S ,policy towards us in this country that don’t meet there artificially constructed income level cut-off line, and you have a choice where you decide to go and spend your family’s money,(because believe it or not some of us don’t really have a choice). Then guess what? Peek-A-boo YOUR DESCRIMINATING RIGHT ALONG WITH THEM AND YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY OR NOT? IN THIS WORLD AS WELL AS THE NEXT. THANKS 4 YOUR TIME.

This Vons is incredible! Huge selections and so many Gluten free and Vegan options!!! I drive 20 minutes out of my way to visit this Vons….totally worth it!
