What a cool store! They have such fun stuff. Their signs crack me up and it’s such an entertaining place to shop for gifts that will bring joy to your friends and families life.

ROGER BROWNING
I am a writer. My name is Roger Browning and I wanted to tell you about this little store in Alpine and its owner who I’d come to know there, Jan. It has been a difficult time as for everybody in this time of covid, but for the small business who depends on the purchasing traveler, it could be a devastating thing. Myself being a writer, with book signings on hold , it was felt even by us. Afterall there are far more things better to purchase than a book. I understand that with the struggle to keep the lights on, rent paid and food on the table. I understand that, yet still humbling for me, by the ones who still take the time to buy and read one anyway. Thank you. During this time we decided to mask up, hand sanitize and use the best methods we could to try to give business to some of these smaller shops. So, we wandered into this little antique store in Alpine Texas. Let me tell you we met the most wonderful shop owner you could imagine. Jan so friendly and receptive. We discovered antiques surrounded with new offerings and books! To my suprise the stores owner Jan is a book lover and the conversation went wild about it. So much that the next day I made a point before leaving, to stop in and give her my first published novel, that is being sold on Amazon right now. It is titled ‘ The Reckoning of Rance.’ My hopes for her to enjoy. It is based on a modern day dysfunctional ranching family and I thought being from Alpine, she might enjoy that one. I want you to know that this store is great and owned by a good person. Please take the time when visiting this town, to stop by and enjoy the conversation of a very good lady and find a treasure there that I just know that you will.
