While I try to support local businesses whenever I can, I am very disappointed at Russell Cellular and will not return to this location after a recent experience.We needed a new iPhone and the sale rep cheeringly greeted us saying This is your lucky day, we have a promotion for the SE!. She then told us we’d be receiving a credit on our bill towards the phone, yet unfortunately I was charged the full amount, no credit whatsoever.After multiple trips to Russell Cellular (always a 50 miles round trip from where I live) and four months of attempting to straighten this out, it was finally admitted by the sales rep that another line had to be added to get this upgrade.The Russell Cellular sales rep repeatedly told me a manager would contact me in this regard, no one did. Nor was I given a contact number to attempt to mediate this dispute. I then attempted to remedy this online, however Russell Cellular apparently does not have any way to contact them regarding customer service issues.I was told my only option was to give the phone back, however after four months of repeated visits to the sales rep at the East Holland location without any resolution, I did not feel confident that I could rely on on Russell Cellular to refund the money that had already been debited from my Verizon account.I found my experience to be predatory in terms of what I was told and what the actual promotion was. They are apparently able to get away with this since this is a remote area and there are no other options within 180 miles. I would advise anyone wanting a cell phone in this region to make the trip to a larger city, and research customer service options prior or purchase online from a reputable vendor with high customer service reviews, as opposed to no customer service whatsoever and no desire to owe it to the customer to make it right.
