A HUB (Helping Urban Bicyclists) is a Ventura Bike HUB is a community bike shop and second-hand bike store where all levels of bicyclists can work on their bike with the assistance of our master mechanics and trained volunteers. Stand time (or workshop time) is $5/hour and includes access to our wide array of tools. We also have a Yearly Membership that makes the shop free. The HUB also carries a variety of used and new parts and accessories including racks, tires, tubes, locks, cables/housing, used clothing, pedals, wheels, derailleurs, handlebars, brake levers, seatpost, etc.

I have been involved with The Ventura Bike Hub, since July 2018 when I stopped by to check them out. I have been a volunteer at the hub ever since, I was very fortunate to be able to get to know Toby Smith I have worked with him at the hub. He literally took me under his wing and trained and taught me a great deal on bicycle repair, the bicycle industry, shop operations, etc. The hub has suffered a great loss in resent days as Toby has left the bike hub and is in the process of moving to Tucson, Arizona to take on bigger and bigger things. I wish him and his family the very best!
