Fantastic visitor center! The staff was very helpful and happy to answer my so many questions about things to do and stores in the area. It is well worth the effort to go …

Place where you can ask questions, find maps and see what is in town.

I’ve experienced bears eating Salmon under a waterfall.

It’s a well-designed, and cozy Visitors Center. The staff were incredibly polite and helpful. Valdez is know as “Alaska’s little Switzerland” for a reason. As someone who’s been to Switzerland, I’d say the title is well-deserved. I loved the harbors, the numerous creeks, waterfalls, and hiking trails surrounding the town.

A small visitor center in downtown Valdez. A few informative displays on the history of Valdez and some props about them. The staff is friendly and informative. Theres also a good deal of printed information on thing to do in Valdez as well as other areas in and around the entire state of Alaska recommend stopping by, even if you’re from Alaska.

The cutest, friendliest and absolutely most scenic town in Alaska!!! I’ve experienced bears eating Salmon under a waterfall.
