Social Profile :

At UWAYSCC We are focused on demonstrating impact in all aspects of our work. Our human and financial resources are dedicated to achieving measurable results in four key areas identified by the community. We believe that families need to be self-sufficient, everyone should be ready to work, young people must succeed in school and that people in need can find help. This year, over $1,000,000 will be invested in 43 community-based programs that align with these priorities. Funding decisions are made locally by a team of 60 volunteers from all walks of life and approved by the Board of Directors. For every dollar donated, $0.88 is returned to the community in programming and 100% of every donation remains in Southern Chautauqua County.

Review Summary

John LaMancuso
The United Way of Southern Chautauqua County is an outstanding charitable organization in our community. The leadership and staff are not only highly effective, but also kind, caring, and compassionate individuals. Through 26 community partners and 39 community-based programs, the UWSCC helps individuals in our community who need help the most, including victims of child abuse and domestic abuse, individuals who are homeless, the visually impaired, children who need help with schoolwork or need additional instruction during the summer months, families who have lost their homes to house fires, and individuals struggling with addiction. I cannot imagine our community without the UWSCC. This organization has my highest recommendation.
