In the wake of a shutdown Funeral Home, Undergrounds Coffee House & Roastery was born. In 2016 Three partners came together to honor the death of what the building was and celebrate the life of their new cafe. Undergrounds’ features a full menu of breakfast and lunch sandwiches as well as salads that are named for deceased people connected to Buffalo or the Coffee Industry. The drink menu is full of traditional coffee house favorites as well as a few Undergrounds specialties. Love the food as much as the customer service. The atmosphere is great too! I’d post pics of the food, but I’m always to excited when I get it to think about taking a pic! An amazing place all around. Thought about not doing a review because it’s such a hidden gem and that’s helps make it awesome. I sadly haven’t had the coffee yet, but I’ve had several food items including The Rick James B**** sandwich and The Ralph Wilson breakfast sandwich that were amazing. I would definitely recommend this place! Also, Bridget is great!

I have driven like 1,000 times by this coffee shop and never noticed it. Glad I saw it, the place is decorated with local artist photos or paintings. The menu pay tribute to both local celebrities such as Rick James as well as pioneers of the coffee industry.
