12 reviews of Truth Vinyl “What a neat little family owned record store. She says she has 50000 records and they have 6000 in the store.

Good music, good people, and a damned good record collection.

Their little attention hungry dog is the cutest thing ever.

I plan to return to check out live performances.

Carefully curated record selection with a stylish locale makes for a hip laid-back experience. Plus, we’ve seen a lot of stand alone record stores and we can’t think of one that oozes as much cool as Truth Vinyl. You can quickly see that the owner(s) didn’t skimp on any details to achieve this effect. Everything is modern, sleek, and (if you go at night) lit perfectly. The LED signs scrolling the name of the genre of records in a shelf is a neat touch. We’ve never seen so much care put into listening stations before, and the laboratory-like record cleaning area (with glass beakers) was interesting. This place could easily go from being a record store to a chill club/lounge spot, an art showing, or hosting a fashion show with few modifications. (FYI, they do host live musical shows here and you should check out their schedule if you’re interested *** BTW, BYOB is encouraged *** ).As far as our experience, it was fine. There was a chance of frozen rain at the time which probably kept a lot people away so we got the place mostly to ourselves. The gentleman running the store let us browse uninterrupted and my wife ended up finding a record she couldn’t leave without. And yes, the price of the record was a tiny bit more than you could find it online, but seeing the level of care they put into their products she still felt like it was a fair price.Anyhow, we’re glad we visited Truth Vinyl and I’m sure we’ll be back again when we’re in the area.(Another FYI, we noticed the ultrasound record cleaner in the back of the store and asked if they offer a cleaning service. We were told that they do offer that service and that it’s around $3 per cleaning.)

The shop is visually appealing and gives you the feeling of walking into an art gallery. Caught their open mic, worth checking out more often.

Would love to shop here, but it seems like they are never open. Showed up at opening time and no one was there. Have tried to go twice and both times the store was closed during open hours.
