Their selection is pretty great; I managed to find a bottle of a Nama Genshu I’ve been craving for a while. However, I live in Texas so I need it shipped to me. Which is fine- I’ve ordered booze from online vendors before, so no big deal. But TrueSake didn’t list what the cost of shipping was going to be at checkout; just that it would be shipped with UPS Ground. It wasn’t until AFTER I had confirmed the order that I learned the shipping for a $37 bottle of sake was $36.71??? So the cost doubled without me knowing until the order was confirmed, and the price had been charged on my card. I’m working to get a refund, but since they’re not open until Noon Pacific time, it’ll be a while. Again, not wanting to hate on this company since they’re doing some good selections- but it’d be nice to know how much I’m paying for shipping before I place an order.
