My husband and I just left this TSC after purchasing more than $500 in outdoor kennel supplies, as we are adopting three ducks next week and need to get their outdoor space prepped. I ordered these items the night before online, so as to have minimal contact with people since COVID is still very much a serious problem. My father in law and uncle died from it, so we do not take it lightly and do everything we can to minimize contact with people, especially the folks who are going into work and putting their own lives at risk so we can go and buy things to rescue ducks.Two male employees helped us. While we appreciated the skills of a licensed forklift driver, and tipped him and the outdoor employee appropriately, what we didn’t need was the 10 minutes of an inane, loud, never-ending personal story being screamed at right over us by the dorklift driver (typo and it stays) as neither one did anything to help us tie down the large fencing we had in our truck bed. And while I’m sure there is probably legal reasons for that, insurance issues, what have you, I don’t seen any reason why we had to be annoyed to epic levels as we tried to do it ourselves.When I walked away from the truck because the guy wouldn’t.stop.talking, I came back to my husband, normally the last dude on earth to start popping off, telling this guy off and then I had to step in because I am not going to listen to this nonsense. It’s 2020 and our lives are in danger every damn day and my husband and I have lived through COVID loss and I’m not going to let this kind of nonsense go down after I tipped these two useless doorknobs.And this guy also used the tired misogynistic technique of telling me not to curse at him because he wasn’t cursing at me. And listen, bub, you don’t go telling this 36 year old lady with nothing to lose at this point to not curse at you when you literally wouldn’t shut the hell up. Go read Rage Becomes Her and think about your life choices.Also, the masks you’re using there are useless against COVID spread and it’s been half a year of this nightmare so maybe start taking it seriously?No wonder why the stuff we needed was in supply at the Chester store and not at our usual one. Enough people have probably heard this guy scream-yelling boring stories about bears that they can’t find the energy to go back and try to shop there. Well done, boys. Good work all around.
