At my job, I had an irate guest threaten me and a coworker after he repeatedly tried to get me away from behind the desk. I called police and they took at least 20 minutes to arrive. Then they did not seem to be taking the matter seriously I asked them to go to the room and escorts them off the property because it had been awhile and I was worried about any damage these people might do, due to the aggressive behavior. I was then asked if the guest had provided a credit card – (implying that we could simply charge damages) and I told them that wasn’t the point. I didn’t want my workplace damaged by a dangerous individual whether I could simply charge the card or not. The two officers took their time to get to the room where they found these people already gone and the door left open. Upon googling the name of this irate guest I see he literally just served 7 years in prison with a little bit of EVERYTHING on his record and his girlfriend was not much different in her trouble with the law. Putting 2 and 2 together I’m inclined to believe that it was an attempted robbery The man and his girlfriend tried numerous times to make me leave from behind the front desk and my refusal fueled the aggression. I have to say that I am sorely disappointed in the this department This is NOT the first time my work place has called for help and were made to wait longer than necessary and not taken seriously Public safety should be a priority, NOT just an obligation I, for one, do not feel safer at this point. If anything I feel more vulnerable due to the fact that I am a working person with no real ways of protecting myself as I work to provide for my family, and I now know that I cannot count on the police in the event of a robbery, an assault, or even murder for that matter It’s funny – I know for a fact my company pays thousands and thousands a year in taxes, for what? To not be taken seriously when we call for help? Thankfully nothing bad happened this time. Again, THIS TIME. I hope that in the future your response time improves.

Im going out on a limb here at 4, Only because the unnamed lieutenant promptly called me back and helped both by giving me some direction and defusing the situation. I cant say the interactions were all the same as I was transferred and hung up on when I seemed the slightest bit Irate. I just wonder if they hung up on Emergency calls if they drop an F – bomb? Just think about this for a second, Do I want to be calling there? Odds are not really.

Much respect for the department however; I was pulled over and given a ticket for speeding when I really was doing the limit. They reduced the charge because of my immaculate driving record.never had a speeding ticket…ever. I still had to pay $90 ! So drive under the speed limit??!
