Amazing food, huge service sizes, great prices, and amazing service.
Bill Loy
Best selection of German style meats & foods, and imported goodies around.
Mary Goodman
Waffle was burnt and cold and served without syrup or butter.

A local favorite where they sell European groceries, meats, desserts, and serve good quality meat-and-potato kind of German dishes and sandwiches in huge portions at very, very reasonable prices. The place has been around for a long time and the decor shows it’s age. However, a loyal customer base does not mind and you’ll always see a line at the single counter register where you order from.

Nothing better than truth in advertising!I had the beef dip sandwich and it was one of the Top beef dips I have ever eaten! My wife had a burger and it was thick and juicy, she loved it!The staff is super friendly and helpful.Very cool German town theme (I’m wondering if there was at one time a connection between this and the Windmill architecture of building on the other side of Palomar Airport road.Desserts are really good too.The store was full of European charm and food items.Absolutely on the “Must stop” list if you are in the area.Price was fair at under $20 for lunch too!

Looking for a hearty breakfast? This is the place to go. The Big John’s plate is HUGE and they will bring you extra bacon, sausage, if you are still hungry. There is a German deli counter and a great market selection of hard to find items from Germany and Europe. On premises, they have a butcher with fresh cuts of meats. I usually bring home bratwurst and currywurst!
