I stopped by to do my weekly shop. This is not my usual grocery but I was interested in seeing how their inventory was holding up during this health crisis. I’m happy to report they seemed to have many things in stock. Diapers, eggs, paper towels and toilet paper were all available. The produce was abundant and all looked great, especially the tomatoes. Their staff seemed to all be in great spirits considering the level of stress they have been under. In fact, they are short staffed (and hiring) and still managed to be kind and helpful to all of the customers. I spoke with Gabriel and he said they have been busy but that their 2 item limit per product has allowed them to keep the shelves relatively well stocked. I was also impressed that they were constantly sanitizing the carts and had plenty of gloves and sanitizer available for patrons. Many of the staff were wearing masks as an added precaution. Extremely responsible in light of the circumstance. Three Bears has and espresso counter, pizza shop, prepared foods and many goods and products beyond groceries. They also have a liquor store and gas station. Everything you need under one roof.March 2021: Those heading North for the Iditarod…they have a great coffee shop with, among other items, excellent $.99 muffins.May 2021: The only place in Alaska that I can find my favorite oat milk creamer. For those of you who appreciate how hard it is to froth dairy free creams/milks you should try Silk’s Vanilla or Oatmeal Cookie Creamer. Thanks for stocking it Three Bears (along with all the rest of your considerably varied inventory). Even at their smaller locations in more remote areas…the choices are excellent!

I love our local supermarket! It has everything you need from toilet cleaner to hunting riffles. Also look at the talking rain (Sparkling Ice sodas have a weird sight that says talking rain) its a funny hidden gem.

I like that three bears is growing enough to be in multiple cities I commute back-and-forth between Anchorage in the Valley and it’s a great stop to fuel up get a refresher. They have great discounts. The staff are very friendly, they’re fast and courteous too.
